Do you remember Beetlejuice? Yep, the 1988 comedy directed by Tim Burton. The film was revolving around a ghost called Betelgeuse aka Beetlejuice (then played by Michael Keaton) who's recruited to help haunt a house. Well, the crazy ghost is likely to come haunt theaters again: Warner Bros is indeed trying to put a sequel on track. They have hired Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg to pen a script.
When asked if Beetlejuice 2 would be a direct sequel set in the 21st century, Seth Grahame-Smith replied this:
"Yeah, that’s inevitably going to be a part of it, since it's going to be 27 or 28 years after the first film. You wonder what happened to those characters, how times have changed, and how Beetlejuice would interact with them. Right now it’s in the ‘we'll see’ stage."
